Homemade Bisquick Recipe – Single Batch

Have you ever needed Bisquick and just been out? Well here is an easy way to make a single batch of homemade Bisquick at home! Craving our Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits, then whip out a single batch of Homemade Bisquick and make those yummy, cheesy, garlicky biscuits!

 

This homemade Bisquick recipe makes a little over 2 cups

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 Tbs. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1tsp. salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening (can use VCO for some nutrition!)

Combine first 4 dry ingredients in a bowl, stir to mix. Cut in the shortening (or VCO) with two forks, or a pastry blender until mixture resembles course crumbs. Just like a pie crust!


Biscuits (Homemade Bisquick Recipe)

  • Single Batch Bisquick Mix
  • ½ cup milk or buttermilk

Take Homemade Bisquick Recipe above and stir in half cup of buttermilk or milk. Gently fold in, but don’t beat to death or the biscuits will be tough. Knead about 10-12 times on a floured board. Cut biscuits with desired shapes or a juice glass. Bake in 450 oven for 12 minutes. Makes about 10 biscuits.


Pancakes (Homemade Bisquick Recipe)

  • Single Batch Bisquick Mix
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup of milk or buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Take Homemade Bisquick Recipe above and mix with liquid ingredients. Scoop onto lightly oiled griddle and cook until the center bubbles. Flip.

Serve with butter, maple syrup, fresh berries, peanut butter, or whatever your family likes
