Gluten intolerance website

Gluten intolerance website by a fellow believer

If you are all like me, you are excited about what you are learning in the way of health. I completely lost my health this last year, and have had a long, slow crawl back up to tolerable, not well yet. It has been so difficult; my endocrine system is shot, with thyroid issues, adrenal issues, and hormonal issues, not to mention stress, anxiety and depression (that 16 year old!).

My ND suggested the "Anti Inflammatory Diet" which eliminates many common  allergens and lectins. She was absolutely against me consuming wheat, oats, barley and rye and insisted I try a gluten free diet (missing a whole lot of other "healthy foods" I loved!). This caused me to read, read, read, study and learn. One of the ladies on this list recommended the GFCFNN Yahoo
group and I have learned so much. I keep praying and praying, lifting all of it to the Lord and begging Him to design what fuel he wants me to eat. Here is an email I just sent some other friends struggling with similar issues.

I hope this helps someone here, as it has me.

Gluten Intolerance Sites

As we chase down the lane of "gluten intolerance" not quite sure where we are headed, here are some areas for further research. Hope this helps

This is a fabulous site - gives you lots of links to other sites by someone who really did some research, and is obviously a Christian, calling himself "Saul!" http://members.cox.net/harold.kraus/gluten.htm

This is the Yahoo group I am a part of - brilliant women who have so much to share. NOT a Christian group - in fact - some are very against Christian thought -but why not minister wherever you are! They have taught me so much, answered my questions, given advice and I have gleaned by reading. To visit your group on the web, go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/GFCFNN/
Anyone can join.

This is the lab that is doing my 113 food foodSCAN ELISA test http://www.yorkallergyusa.com/ It isn't cheap, but I want to KNOW what I can actually eat, so I went for it. I would like to get the rest of the family tested.shall see!

Another test that many of the folks on the GFCF list have gotten is from http://www.enterolab.com/ which is a stool test Gluten Sensitivity Stool and Gene Panel Complete. Some insurances will pay for it - mine won't. I might do this one in a few months, will see.

This is Danna Korn's site, her son was diagnosed, she wrote a fabulous book about being gluten free for kids - but it explains everything so well. http://www.glutenfreedom.net/ Even thought MANY of my friends would never think of this with their kids, I see a lot of kids in their descriptions!

While we might be gluten intolerant, or might be celiac, remains to be seen. Either way, eliminating gluten for now is the way to go and more can be found at http://www.celiac.com/

Blessings -
