In the summer of 2004, my health completely crashed - I was exhausted, worn out beyond anything ever experienced and I just felt like I was going to physically die. Doctors offered me no hope, specialists had no answers, and we paid cash for everything, with comprehensive medical insurance. Benefit, you get to CHOOSE your specialist, but you pay for it, literally. Always interested in natural health, I consulted an Naturopathic Doctor (ND). She suggested I cut gluten and dairy out of my life, along with a host of other things.

If you are all like me, you are excited about what you are learning in the way of health. I completely lost my health this last year, and have had a long, slow crawl back up to tolerable, not well yet. It has been so difficult; my endocrine system is shot, with thyroid issues, adrenal issues, and hormonal issues, not to mention stress, anxiety and depression (that 16 year old!).

One of the casein free options is "Rice Milk." It was our starter CF milk, and we absolutely loved it years ago!
I use coconut milk in my coffee (yup!) for cream and it is fabulous, far tastier than cream could ever be! We live a life without milk and without soy. But, we did do soy for a long time too, and I have that overly developed 11 3/4 year old!
