Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce (Easy!)

1/2 to 3/4 cup of milk

3/4 cup sugar

1 tsp of vanilla (or more to taste!)

3/4 stick butter

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa (Hershey's, Rapunzels, etc)

Bring ingredients to a boil, stirring constantly.  Serve over vanilla ice cream for a traditional treat.

Sundae Bar with Friends

Peanut Buster Parfake  (Dairy Queen Favorite)

Take a long sundae glass and drizzle some luscious Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce in the bottom. Top with whole Spanish peanuts. Put a scoop of ice cream or homemade soft serve. Top with more hot fudge and peanuts. Add another layer of ice cream. Top with hot fudge and more peanuts. Add whipped cream and cherries if you desire - but that is not how DQ makes the original favorite!

Coffee Lover's Sundae (Inspired by Cold Stone)

Scoop up bowls of coffee ice cream. Drench in hot fudge. Add slivered almonds and chopped Heath Bars or Skor bars for a delicious treat.

Peppermint Patty

Scoop up bowls of peppermint ice cream. Top with hot fudge and enjoy. For Christmas, tuck a candy cane in it for festive fun.  Read The Legend of the Candy Cane, then sing carols around the tree.
