Orange Blossom Cake PDF Print E-mail

Every once in a  while, this transplanted California girl needs a taste from home! Living across the road from rolling acres of orange groves, at the base of a mountain - my heart yearns for the sweet, lilting smell of orange blossoms. It was heaven - sheer heaven. Progress being what it was....they tore the groves down to build houses, so may as well move to Tennessee!  This is the perfect cake to make when you  miss the smells of home!

  • 1 box Orange Cake Mix
  • 1 box of Vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 melted cube of butter
  • 1-2 teaspoons of pure vanilla
  • 1 cup of buttermilk
  • grated peel of an orange (or a lemon gives a wonderful citrusy zest!)

Preheat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients and whir in food processor for 2 minutes. Put in a greased bundt pan, and bake for 45-52 minutes, depdending on oven.

Cool for 10 minutes, flip onto wire rack to cool.

Glaze with Citrusy Orange Glaze or Buttery Caramel Glaze! Serve - perfect for tea or dessert!
