Craving a quick homemade Egg McMuffin to start your day with? Whip together this super fast breakfast sandwich in minutes! Great for husbands on the way out the door, kids breakfasts, Sunday's before church or a quiet morning at home.

1 Whole Grain Breakfast Bagel

1 egg

1 slice cheese

Warm the bagel in the oven, or toast lightly in toaster. You don't want it to be rock hard, just nice and warm (this is a great way to use up stale bagels!). At the same time, cook the egg in a skillet, with a little bit of non-stick spray, to desired doneness. We cook our yolk all the way through, as we think it tastes better. 

Assemble this in seconds. Put the split bagel on a plate. Top with fried egg, and sliced cheese. Put other bagel half on top and serve with our fabulous Cappuccino or Latte. Image

Endless variations

Bread

  • Bagels, English muffin, thick homemade bread slices, sourdough, etc.

Egg

  • Fry, poach or scramble - it will work every way you like it!

Cheese 

  • Completely optional and try Pepper Jack for punch, sharp cheddar, Muenster, or Smoky Gouda

Meat

  • Top with Canadian Bacon, sliced ham, bacon, sausage or any thinly sliced meat you have on hand.
